SoCal Drivers Club is upping the game again with our Track Car Rental Program.
You didn’t think we’d toss you the keys to something average, right? We want you experiencing the track in something we’d be just as stoked to spend an SDC day ripping on, so we scoured the internet for our favorite M chassis – the E36, E46 M3 and now F82 M4. We couldn’t show up in a boring color, though, so we scooped up an ultra-rare Dakar Yellow E36 M3 Coupe, a Phoenix Yellow E46 M3 and a Sakhir Orange M4. So, what’s the plan?

We’ve been around fast cars (and even faster drivers) long enough to know that building a proper track tool isn’t just slapping parts together; there’s a formula. Part selection, spring rates, alignment, tires, brake pads… every piece matters. So, before we whipped our credit cards out, we connected with Alex at Sub2 Speedhouse and got with our partners and we got to work and made a plan to get the rental fleet up to speed in SUB2-spec.
Now, this isn’t a no-expenses-spared build… we wanted to give these killer cars some new life, but be mindful of our budget and aim to achieve a lot without going completely overboard. We worked with some of the biggest names in time attack, sourcing parts from Bimmerworld, Motion Control Suspension, Titan 7 forged wheels, CSF Radiators, Race Technologies/Brembo, Antigravity Batteries, Sub2 Speedhouse, SPL, AIM, CAE, JQ Werks, Momo & Sparco. For setup, fabrication and install, we leaned on our buds at Racecars Unlimited for the E36 and European Auto Source for the E46 & F82, and together, a dream team and dream spec was realized. So there’s really only one question: Are you ready to DRIVE?

Suspension
The MCS 1WNR damper is a single-adjustable damper with an adjustment range of 18 settings. Built as an “entry-level” (yet still race-capable and winning) damper, MCS 1WNR dampers are upgradable to our other damper systems. The modular design of MCS damper systems use interchangeable parts for an easy upgrades, without the need to invest in a new package. All MCS dampers are fully rebuildable, serviceable and can be custom-valved and upgraded any time.

Suspension
The MCS 2W damper is a double-adjustable damper with external reservoirs which allow for adjustment of the gas pressure in the damper. Both compression and rebound damping forces are independently adjustable with the compression adjuster located on the reservoir head and the rebound adjuster located on the shaft-end.
Compression damping forces are controlled by a large blow-off valve located directly on the reservoir main piston for the most precise and accurate damping control, and not a needle valve with a smaller effective adjustment range before the needle is too far out of the orifice to influence flow.

Suspension

Can I have a passenger?
No Passengers allowed
Gas
Rental will have a full tank of gas. Any additional fuel is the responsibility of the renter and must be refilled at 1/2 tank.
Is the vehicle safe?
Safety was our number 1 priority. We have pre and post track inspections along with scheduled service and maintenance. Our cars are equipped with a ½ roll bar, FIA approved Sparco Carbon racing seats and Sparco 6 point harness. Snell certified helmet and Hans device are required. We have helmet and hans available for rent.
Insurance required?
Track insurance is now required for all rentals. Insurance must be done by the renter through Hagerty and proof of insurance is required before the rental event.
Does the cost include registration to the event?
Yes, registration is included in the rental price for all SDC events. This is a full Arrive & Drive experience. Registration for non SDC events must be purchased through that organizer. It is the responsibility of the renter to register for non-SDC events. No refunds will be given if you fail to register for that orgs event.
Can I rent for a non SDC event?
Yes, we now offer most Speed Ventures dates. If you would like to track at a date not listed in the drop down menu, send us a message and we will do our best to accommadate.
Full arrive & drive for non SDC events.

What happens if I crash or cause damage?
The renter is responsible for any and all damage done to the vehicle and a deposit will be required at time any damage is done to the vehicle.
Track insurance is required and they have a deductible that will be due. Any damage less than the deductible will be due at time of incident.
We now require a credit card for a security hold and drivers license at time of rental in case of any damage that may be done during the rental.
How much track time will I get?
You will receive 6 on track sessions of 15-20 minutes each.
Can I share with another driver?
We are now allowing renters to share the vehicle for the day at an additional cost of $500.
