SDC Ambassador’s
“SoCal Drivers Club Racing Team”
Mike Reyes, Chris Anderson & Bailey Woods
A goal for SoCal Drivers Club was to be able to give back and support local drivers in their motorsports journey. These drivers below exhibit all the characteristics we look for in drivers and most importantly as friends. We are excited to support them in their racing adventures in 2025.
Our plan for 2025 is to go racing in some of the larger Time Attack competitions. Super Lap Battle COTA, Grid Life Laguna Seca and GTA Finals Buttonwillow. Maybe more!
We will get everything on social media so you can get to know the team and follow along as we prepare and get out and compete and everything in between.
As SDC continues to grow, we look forward to adding more drivers to the SDC Racing Team.
Maximum Effort!
Mike Reyes aka “Boss Boss Racing”
I've been obsessed with cars and motorsports ever since a friend introduced me to Initial D early in my teenage years. I'm a bit of a late bloomer and only started seriously going to the track to hone my skills in my 30's. In 2022, I bit the bullet and finally bought a car that I felt confident in building my skills upon with the intention of one day competing in Time Attack. I initially intended this to be a slow and steady progression... but things quickly got out of hand when I found myself at the track almost every week.
Flash forward to today, the Supra has become an extension of myself and I've found myself going toe-to-toe with some of the fastest drivers in SoCal with what relatively short amount of seat time I've gotten under my belt. It's safe to say that I caught the bug.
The goal for myself hasn't changed ever since I started driving on track. It has always been: Do my best, to the best of my ability. I understand that I'm not the fastest or the most naturally gifted driver on the grid, but I do know that I will always give my maximum effort.
I'm looking forward to continuing to compete in as many Time Attack competitions as I possibly can and building myself up as a driver.
I want to thank SoCal Drivers Club for not only choosing me to drive for their ambassador program, but also for supporting me at the upcoming Global Time Attack Finals at Buttonwillow Raceway. SoCal Drivers Club has always been in my corner and without their support and their unique open-track format, I sincerely don't believe that I would've progressed as quickly as I did behind the wheel.
Chris Anderson aka “The Peoples Champ”
I started my motorsport journey in 2008. Up until that point, I had owned a few different vehicles, but never driven on the track. I just came home from college the year prior and all I knew was canyons. At that time I owned a 1986 Toyota Corolla “Levin” hatchback. That Corolla ended up being the first car I ever put on track. After my first HPDE day at Willow Springs - Horsethief Mile, I never saw another canyon. To be able to push my car to its limits and take full advantage of the modifications and wrenching I had done, without flying off a mountain…..it was a feeling like no other.
Which leads me to my newest money pit. I currently drive a 2015 BMW M4. When choosing a car now, I try to look for the best things I liked from the cars that came before. The plan for the M4 is to make it a dual purpose street/track build. I think it checks all the boxes. I love the idea of being able to drive to the track, lay down a heater, then drive home “comfortably” with A/C and cup holders.
I currently compete in the local Bimmer Challenge Time Attack series. Chasing podiums and bragging rights as often as I can. The main goal however is to just have fun. I’m not competing to land a formula 1 seat or anything, that’s why you’ll see me the most out running with organizations like SoCal Drivers Club. I originally got in this hobby to turn laps and hang out with the boys. You won’t find that anywhere more than SDC.
Bailey Woods
My name is Bailey Woods and my passion for extracting the maximum performance out of a racecar is what some might call ‘unhealthy’. Yes, maybe I lose sleep over deciding if rear camber should be -3.3 instead of -3.4. Maybe I spend too much time going over data trying to piece together the perfect lap. Maybe I am obsessed - but how could I not be? I am fascinated by every single detail - the build, the setup, the preparation, the drive - every little aspect is critical in reaching that optimality.
This mindset and curiosity helped me produce quite a few track records, wins, and championships across multiple motorsport disciplines over the past four years. From winning Global Time Attack with a single lap flyer, to standing on the top step of the podium after 25 Hours of Thunderhill, I have amassed exceptional results as a professional amateur. Regardless of success, no matter how fast the lap, no matter how aggressively the record is captured, no matter how far ahead of second place - it is never good enough. I am consumed by the reality that there is always more time on the table.
Leveraging this energy going into the 2025 season, I am reinvigorated with the opportunity to adapt and learn a vastly different car – to take on the challenge of finding the perfect setup and driving style for its new advantages and disadvantages. Now tailored toward the GTA Limited and Grid Life Track Mod class, I am eager to get dialed in and continue going faster.
